Poem- Lost In The Music
Sitting In the driver seat
Music blasting savagely
The Instruments inspire me
Better yet influence me
Uncontrollably
Drastically
And yes constantly
Finally taking its toll on me
Finally grabbing hold of me
Feeling the pressure of my blood jump with the hit of every note and beat
The connection here is spiritually
Something like perfect chemistry
Or the way the music makes my words fall upon these lines like perfect symmetry
Some people call it rap some people call it Floetry
Sometimes I just keep it simple to me I call it poetry
Doesn’t matter what you call it music is still form of art
And they say art imitates life so you can guess right where it starts
Once again I find myself getting lost within the music
I can find myself yea that’s a choice but do I dare to choose it
It’s hard not to stay lost
When the soft
Sounds of the strings and the cellos
Are saying hello
The horns are coming in vibrant and the organ’s hitting mellow
Music speaks to me different than you because I’m not your regular ordinary fellow
As my fingers itch and twitch prepared to bless the piano keys
I hear the kick boom hard know I feel the bounce off in my knees
My heart starts to beat sort of erratically
Creating its own melody
Sounding like a symphony
Every time my heart beats it hits hard like my timpani’s
You may ask am I speaking literally
Or am I speaking figuratively
No I speaking reality
Confirmed with actuality
Do I let the clef notes follow behind me?
No I accept and let it capture me
You may say it sounds like I love getting lost in the music ….yes I do…I do it rapidly
Music is my soul my heart my air and I breathe it in passionately
